Mission
Astra Women’s Business Alliance, founded as Astra Society International, a 501 C-3 organization, is comprised of women business owners, business leaders and those who support women in business.
The mission of Astra is the relentless pursuit of leadership, opportunity and diversity for women in business. Astra is committed to the following goals and activities:
* Train women to grow global companies
* Create contracting opportunities for women’s businesses
* Certify women business owners under WBENC standards and procedures
* Provide qualified suppliers for corporations and agencies
* Measure and report contracting results
* Develop role models and mentors
* Build collaborative relationships with organizations supporting women
Astra provides training and workshops for women business owners and corporate and agency procurement professionals in the states of Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Northern California.
Astra’s future goal is to offer virtual trade missions for women business owners to conduct business and source products and services from women’s companies around the globe.
